Golden Christmas Tree & Decor at The Mall

One of my favorite things about the holidays are the different mall decors and the creative ways they decorate their Christmas trees. Some malls have different themes each season and some malls stick to a classic theme that lets you feel the nostalgia of past holidays all over again.

One such mall always features lots of gold in their theme and so does their giant Christmas tree. All that golden glow and shiny sparkles with the subdued indoor lights make the whole atmosphere feel cozy and warm – a very inviting atmosphere during the colder season.

Here’s a closer look at the Christmas tree’s decor:

Also, there is not just one giant Christmas tree inside this mall but several at different sections of the mall. Since the ground floor is visible from all the other floors, all the Christmas trees are set on the ground floor and goes all the way up to the 4th floor. That’s how big it is.

The first one is the tree at the lobby together with a display of a car which is also one of the major prizes for a Christmas raffle for member shoppers. The second one is the tree in the middle of the food court. All trees have gift boxes below them and people usually get their pictures taken under the tree or on one side of it. I saw a whole family having their picture taken below the tree and it could easily be their Christmas card already.

They also feature mechanical animals in their lobby, right beside the giant Christmas tree, to welcome mall-goers. This part of the decor always fascinates me and even other adults even though it’s obviously targeted for children. People also take pictures and videos with the moving animal decor.

This time, they featured pandas and reindeers. Only the big ones move in a fixed movement, mostly the head and front paws. An unlikely combination really but still fascinating for the kids to gawk at. I am not a kid anymore but I still appreciate these kinds of things.

As for the rest of the mall, the alleyways also feature the golden theme with a touch of green and red and lots of lights of course.

Now, doesn’t it make you feel warm and cozy inside as you walk through the shops? Imagine having Christmas music as your background too and it can make you feel a bit like you’re in a holiday movie.

I wasn’t able to take a picture but they also have a grand piano in the food court lobby and different professionals actually get assigned to play on it each week. People usually crowd around them as they play and take videos. Of course, they also take pictures afterwards as some of them are fans of the pianist.

All these things and moments definitely make me, and other mall-goers, feel the holiday spirit even more. That’s why I always look forward to Christmas season.
