Christmas Things for Gifting and Decorating

Everything is shiny and colorful, even cute and elegant during the Christmas holidays. Shopping runs are usually a combination of looking for items for the home for decor and for holiday celebrations as well as a gift-hunting mission. For me, it’s a fun, multi-tasking adventure.

One of my go-to shops for unique finds is Flying Tiger. I always find something cute, quirky, and unique in this store for both kids and the young at heart. So here are some snapshots of what I got from their shop.

Since my theme is mostly red and green, I got decors and gift-wrapping items in red and green. I especially love the red lamp for tea light candles and the candy cane pencils with bells. I also got a small, green vase and a gift box in a subdued Christmas pattern for its cover.

Of course, I got myself a gift too. I had been looking for a matcha set that’s not too big and minimalist and the Cortado Set checked all the boxes. Finally, I bought a colorful xylophone to gift to my friends’ son who loves colorful toys too. I love that the xylophone is such a simple toy with no complicated parts to assemble. It’s quite sturdy too since it’s made of wood and metal which is a win in my book.

With all the available options for both decor and gifts, it’s hard to decide on what theme to follow and what gifts to give. So it is a stressful issue but also quite an exciting problem, with better physical and emotional returns too; which makes it a more pleasant experience than the stress we go through for the rest of the year.

Also, there is always your budget and your gut feel to guide you through your home decor shopping and gift-hunting mission. So let’s just dwell on the fun and less on the stress so we can max out on the joyful experience this holiday season.
